Chronology of General Kuo Pin

1905  農曆 5 月 24 日未時， 生於福建省龍巖縣。 Born on May 24 in Longyan County, Fujian Province.

1910  啟蒙於鄉里家塾 。Started attending old-style private school.

1919  受新式教育，習英文，算術。Enrolled in elementary and junior high schools with modern curriculum, and studied subjects such as science, arithmetic, and English.

1924  南洋公學中學部畢業，準備投考黃埔軍校。Graduated from Nan Yang Public School and planned to apply for the Whampoa (Huangpu) Military Academy.

1927  黃埔軍校畢業後，分發至龍潭下蜀一帶之陸軍第 二十二師。Assigned to the 22nd Division of the Army as a second lieutenant trainee platoon leader after military academy graduation.

1931  與星島歸來之陳芬小姐遂成眷屬。Married Miss Chen Fin who had just returned from Singapore.

1933  追隨戴笠將軍，加入軍統行列。Joined the Juntong under Dai Li.

1935  長子郭杭生於杭州出生。Eldest son, Harng-Shen, was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

1936  次子郭京生於南京出生。Second son, Jing-Sheng, was born in Nanjing.

1937  三子郭宜生於湖北宜昌出生。Third son, Yi-Sheng, was born in Yichang, Hubei Province.

1938  次子郭京生抵渝不久，因患傷寒兼痢疾無法救治 , 至冬歿於重慶市。Second son, Jing-Sheng, died in Chongqing in the winter due to typhoid fever and dysentery.

1939  升任軍事委員會調查統計局上校科長，四子郭慶生於重慶出生。Promoted to Colonel; fourth son, Ching-Sheng (Robert), was born in Chongqing.

1940  五子郭港生於香港出生。Fifth son, Kang-Sheng (Eddie), was born in Hong Kong. 

1941  長女郭龍生於香港九龍出生。Daughter, Lung Shen (Kathy), was born in Kowloon, Hong Kong.

1942  升任軍事委員會調查統計局少將設計委員兼局本部總務處處長之職。Promoted to Major General and Director of the General Affairs Department of the Headquarters in January.

1943  隨蔣中正前往參加開羅召開會議協助護衛工作。Accompanied Chiang Kai-shek and his wife to attend the Cairo Conference as a special security detail under the order of Dai Li.

1944  接任中美技術合作所少將總務組組長一職。Served as the general affairs team leader for Sino- American Cooperative Organization (SACO).

1945  為上海軍統辦事處總務組組長。Set up the Juntong branch in Shanghai with other senior cadres.

1946  奉命將張學良押運至臺灣。Escorted Zhang Xueliang from Chongqing to Taiwan.

1949  隨中華民國政府轉進臺灣，擔任國防部保密局設計委員會少將設計委員。Appointed as a major general design member of the Design Committee.

1954  奉國防部令准予退役。Officially retired, ending a twenty-seven-year military career.

1969  於臺北木柵柏園完成《祖德光輝與余革命生平》回憶錄。 Completed the manuscript My Revolutionary Life in Cypress Garden, Kuo Residence, Muzha District, Taipei City.

1973  病逝於臺大醫院，享年 68 歲。Passed away at the National Taiwan University Hospital in Taipei at the age of 68.
